Wild Caught Means Something Here
Every species Gulf Monger sells comes from federally managed Gulf waters under NOAA's Gulf Reef Fish program. That's not a marketing claim — it's a legal framework built on science-based catch limits that have rebuilt overfished populations and protected the Gulf fishery for the long run.
Individual Fishing Quota
For red snapper, grouper, and tilefish, NOAA manages commercial harvest through IFQ — a system that allocates a fixed annual catch share to each permitted commercial boat. Every pound our captains land is documented against their quota. It's the program that fixed Gulf red snapper after decades of overfishing, and it's why the fishery is thriving again.
Hook & Line. Every Trip.
Our gear is hook and line — rod-and-reel and federally permitted longline. No bottom trawls. No gillnets. Hook and line lets the captain control exactly what comes over the rail, minimizes bycatch, and leaves the reef structure intact for the next generation of fish.
Every Species, Federally Managed
Non-IFQ species — queen snapper, mahi-mahi, wahoo, swordfish, yellowfin tuna — are managed under NOAA annual catch limits, trip limits, and seasonal restrictions under the same Gulf Reef Fish Fishery Management Plan. Science-based limits set the ceiling, not market demand.
What Our Customers Are Saying
Know Your Source
Straight from the Gulf to Your Table

We're Gulf Coast captains who got tired of watching premium fish lose quality through too many hands in the supply chain. So we cut out the middleman.
Wild caught from federally managed Gulf waters — hook and line, every trip — processed and vacuum-sealed within days of landing, and frozen at -5°F. That's what Frozen Fresh means to us — not a marketing slogan, but a promise from our captains to your kitchen.
